What does receiving this money mean to you?
Upon receiving this cash transfer, I will build a house. Since my wife and myself came got together, in the past, we have been living in family and other people house. And the house we are living in presently is not ours, sometime, the owner of the house, will just get vex and say he don't want people to be in his house, because we don't have place to be, we will call few elders to beg him to pardon, so, I feel that the essence of living in other house, it has too many disadvantages. From this, my plan if I received this money, I will used portion of it to build a house, so those that have been ill-treating me for house, so that, they can know that this is something that we'll leave it here and go and the balance will be used for my wife to do a business in order to sustain the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Waking up in the morning and seeing my wife and children in a healthy mood makes me happy. When we burn the coal and take it to the market, after two to three weeks, when we get the money, it also makes me happy, because, I will used the money to take care of the needs of the family. My biggest happiness has come from Givedirectly by giving me money inorder to used it wisely for the benefits of my family. This is one of the biggest happiness in our life because, since we came together, we have seen such an opportunity. I believe that God has open the door for our poverty to clear out through Givedirectly. And I will always pray for Givedirectly and those white people's that think about us in the time of poverty.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The hardship we are faced with are majors in the sense that, to even get a daily food for the family, we have to get in the bush, to burn coal, or make farm inorder to cater to the health, educational and shelters of the family. Even, one of the challenges is the house that I'm presently in, the owner of the house can just get vex and decided to put everybody out if his house, we don't have anywhere to go. So we will call other neighbors to beg him, that also can bring a setback to me as to say, that I'm not making my family proud.
