How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
" My life has changed alot in that I live comfortable life and I have a peaceful mind because I have constructed a three roomed house. Secondly, the cash transfers have raised my self esteem in the community because I dress decently and my home is comfy. Had I not received the cash transfer, I would be miserable and desperate without any hope of a better life."
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
"In my opinion GiveDirectly does well when it I am very grateful because GiveDirectly sent me the cash transfer that has enabled me to construct a house. However I can not point out any wrongs as to where GiveDirectly could have not done well in its operations."
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer of UGX1,660,965 to buy timber, iron sheets, 10 bags of cement, iron bars, nails and part of it for paying the builders. I also bought some food for my family.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I'm now building a big nice house for my family which has brought joy to me and my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When i receive this money, i will use it to complete the construction of my house. Then also pay medical bills for our sick child.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is usually in the afternoon after my garden work because its the time i relax with my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is the recurring illness our child has. She passes out blood in form of urine and the treatment is so expensive for us to afford.
