How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I have been in position to construct an iron roofed house and I'm in the process of clearing my wife's surgery bill, I couldn't have done all these at once had I not received this money from Give Directly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well to send people money directly , which has enabled me arrange for my wife's surgery and construct an iron roofed house , Give Directly has not done any thing bad, everything is good.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second to purchase 2 goats at UGX 160,000, a table plus chairs at UGX 120,000, 2 tips of sand at UGX 160,000, 10 bags of cement at UGX 280,000 and I have not spent UGX 932,000 but I'm planning to send it to pay for my wife's surgery and construction labor.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that now I'm able to build better house for my family which would not be possible without GD support.

The moment I received my money I felt very happy and joy filled my heart because GD kept its promise.

I spent my transfer to buy bricks at 450,000ugx, sand at 180,000ugx, two doors at 320,000ugx, and savings worth 750,000ugx.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means purchasing oxen for ploughing and building up a walk for my pit latrine which has taken long without being completed because of lack of money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up healthy and able to make ends meet.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is lack of oxen for ploughing and residing in a rough incomplete house.
