How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because I have not yet been diagnosed with Ulcers due over thinking on how to get money. My daughter is battling with Sickle cells and the father abandoned me and the child so treating this child has been a hustle. But from the time I got my transfer I have been able to get her treatment.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly has done so well to send money to my account directly and not passing through other avenues. Everyone received their money and did collect by themselves. One good thing I got to learn about Give Directly is that they do not collect money from people during enrollment. Everyone in the village is enrolled freely and benefit on merit. Give Directly allows me spend the transfer the way I choose. However, Give Directly should carry a thorough background checks for some recipients who come to the village purposely to benefit and yet they don't actually live in that village.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My house that I live in is open at the top and leaks during rainy season damaging everything in the house. So when I got the transfer I started constructing my house and it's already at the window level. I have just collected my second transfer that will help me complete its construction.
