How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
From the beginning of the program, I decided to set up a business that will keep generating money for my family, I bought a motorcycle to run it as a business to achieve that goal. My new goal is to complete my house project, I have been fixing my house for months now and I wish to complete it so that I can live more comfortably.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us in an unexpected way that has changed our lives for the better, they are also truthful and reliable because everything they told us from the beginning of the program has come to pass. I have not yet identified anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well because all is well with me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy a motorcycle so that I can run it as a business for my family, I also bought a few building materials for my house project, I used the balance amount to buy foodstuffs for my family and those that are working to build my house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I want to own a motorcycle because I have been challenged when it comes to taking my goods to our market places on market days, to get motorcycle from this town to the market is very hard. When I have my own motorcycle, I will be able to sell more of my goods at the market during market days, this is my main goal for now.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has been very kind in everything they are doing in this town, they help us unconditionally without any third party being involved, they treat us with so much love and respect though they are the ones helping us. I have not noticed any wrong thing about GiveDirectly yet.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my third transfer to start a business that is helping me raise more money for my family and I, I also bought food and other home materials with some of the money, the remaining amount was saved for future purpose.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to pay my children tuition fees and complete my unfinished house ,when I receive the cash transfer.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The celebration of Ramadan were people gives me gifts. It's not easy that people could be generous, but this only happens during such spiritual festival. Again, when my children help make our farm especially when they succeed in brushing, cutting trees and planting of our crops, it brought joy within my heart.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Food for sustenance, tuition fees for the children and additional cash to complete the house under construction. The house is incomplete and that if it's not completed, the rain could damage it. More besides, getting money for my children tuition fees is also challenging in that many days they are thrown out of class.
