How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I'm constructing agood house for my family which I never thought I would achieve because life was really been hard for me before I got enrolled in to the GD program.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD cash transfers have enabled me to pay for my children's school fees and also to construct agood house for my family, and there is nothing bad it has done.

I spent my second to buy cement at 423,000ugx, sand at 80,000ugx, goat at 95,000ugx, utensils at 60,000ugx, and schoolfees costed 975,000ugx.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now own a good house and I feed well because I can afford to buy food.

The moment I received my money,I became very happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to pay my medical bills worth 100,000ugx, two trips of bricks at 570,000ugx, cement at 174,000ugx, Timber at 300,000ugx, other construction materials 45,000ugx, construction labor at 150,000ugx, food at 80,000ugx. I'm planning to purchase household goods with the remaining 281,000ugx.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan is to use the transfers for building ironroofed house. The current grassthatched roof I sleep is small and costly maintain.
