Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when i received my money, i was very happy because it was first time for me to get such huge amount of money. The money was enough to help me access all things i have failed to acquire in my life due to poverty.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that now i have acquired most of things i wanted. Above all i have a small scale business which i would not have without the transfer. I am expecting to make more profits from this business, hence life won't be the same.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on 4 bags of maize at MK9000 each, 2 blankets at MK20000 each, matress at MK53000, kitchen utensils at MK10000, accessed health care service for my husband and invested the remainder into a small scale business

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am happy that I have been enrolled to receive this money from GiveDirectly. I have already set plans on what I use the money for. I plan on finishing building my house. I will also buy food, a matress and a bed. I will make sure that my children will have a comfortable place to sleep on.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when business is going well and I have made some profits. I sell fish and goats during market days. When I have made profits I am able to by food for my family using the money I earn. I think one cannot be happy without having enough food. So earning money so that I can buy food is what makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is sickness of my children. This is a hardship because most of the times I do not have money so that my children should have proper treatment.
