Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Apart from struggles we have been having in raising school fees for our children, we also have been trying as much as possible to provide enough foodstuff for the household. For sometimes now, we have been using the little money we get from GIveDirectly to buy them all. Currently, I have a new goal to venture into farming and improve majorly the production of foodstuff since that has been a challenge in our household.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
School fees payment for my children has been a great problem for us in our household. We had been struggling a lot to ensure that we complete the payment and most of the time our children would be sent home to collect the school fees in the middle of the term. Receiving the transfers from GiveDirectly has really brought a lot of differences and the biggest difference in the last four months in my daily life is the ability to clear the school fees in time and allow our children ample time to study and compete favorably with the others in the school.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have the sizes of the farm under maize and beans plantation to increase the production of food to our household. With the plans underway, I am planning to lease some pieces of land to ensure that I put under farming.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was before Give Directly came into my life. I nowadays have a budget that helps me prioritize my expenses. This also helps me provide for almost my needs. I can also easily track my expenses which minimizes wastage and impulse buying. The biggest difference was when I was able to do farming for the first time. The money helped me buy enough farm inputs and plant on time. It facilitated all the requirements for this exercise and I can't this organization enough for enabling me to do all these. May God bless them with more so that they can help other people too
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal is to buy a cow. I plan to buy a cow because there is high demand for milk in this village. Very few people own cows in this region. The quality of milk distributed by the vendors is also poor but we usually buy from them because we don't have any other choice. I believe that once I buy the cow I will get many customers because my milk will be of high quality and I will be accessible all the time since I stay in that village. This has been my goal for a very long time and I can't wait to own one
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Previous transfers which Give Directly sent me, I invested in farming. I got to harvest some potatoes which when I sold I earned KES 16000. I will save this amount and top up with my next transfers to enable me to buy a cow. This has brought me happiness as being just a few steps away from achieving my goal of owning a cow.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would have bought a cow. I am planning to buy a cow that is already producing milk from my relative in another village. I feel it is the safest way to do this business because I am buying from someone I know and trust and I have hopes of getting the profits immediately because I have a ready market and the cow is already producing milk. This will improve my life greatly because it will relieve me from the daily expenditure is of buying milk. The profits will also help me meet my other goals

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago since my children are eating healthier and I am also able to pay their fee on time.Apart from that, I am also relieved from financial stress. In the past, life was very hard and we could occasionally forgo some meals due to lack of money. The investment on the maize farm has really helped me cater for both the school fee and food for the family. This makes me a proud mother.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any goals for the next four months because I will be saving the transfers to pay the school fee for my child for next term. These transfers have been helpful in keeping him school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am able to pay my child's school fee on time. I invested the monthly transfers on maize farming by buying quality input such as seeds and fertilizers. We reaped heavily from the maize farm. I kept some of the production for family consumption and sold the rest to pay the fee. I was also able to acquire the school requirements such as uniforms and books for him since he was joining form one for his secondary education. If not for the Give Directly transfers, I do not know where I would be getting such an amount to take him to school.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change significantly in the next six months because I will be harvesting the maize which is currently on my farm. I expect to get a good harvest and would keep some for consumption and the surplus will sell to earn money. I am planning to use the money from the surplus to buy a piece of land of my own. I am a single mother who still stays within my parents' compound. This will relieve them the burden of giving me a piece of their small land for farming.
