How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it was in that, I spend so much less on food but I am still able to eat well more than even before. Previously, I used to buy eggs daily for our use at home and this really costed me. I was able to start a poultry project and from this, I get a good supply of eggs for use as food and even sell the excess to my neighbors for an income. I am more peaceful that I no longer worried about how to feed my family unlike before where I could only depend on casual jobs which were unreliable to provide for my family.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have a new goal. I still want to continue buying animals because when I have then under good care, they will increase in number and there are various benefits like getting milk and plough my farm. I will rest from the hard work of tilling my farm by myself.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before I started receiving the transfer, I never had any hope of ever owning any livestock since I majorly engage in casual labor as my daily source of income. The proceeds from this casual jobs were meager that could barely sustain one with the basic needs hence thinking of having livestock for rearing only remained a dream. When I started receiving the transfer, I was able to save and bought a young calve and sheep. The biggest difference, therefore, is that I am so happy to own the animals that I had yearned for a long time and I have understood that no situation is permanent.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life to change in that, I will have added more animals and that the few that I recently bought would have grown. I also expect that the production from my farm for both milk and eggs would have improved and that it would lead to improved profits from proceeds after the sales. I pray that all these will help me improve my financial strength, that I can look after my family well. I expect our general lifestyle to have improved for the better.
