How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better because I have commenced the construction of my permanent house. When I complete this construction, I will have enough rooms to accommodate my family, visitors and for storing my food crops. In conclusion, this has improved my self esteem hence bringing joy in my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me the unconditional cash transfer that I used for building. On the other hand, GiveDirectly has done nothing bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second transfer enabled me to buy construction materials like nails, timber, iron sheets, bricks and paying the builders. I also used it for meeting the burial expenses of my late father.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My daily life's biggest difference is seeing that I was able to hire a bigger piece of farm land that I am currently cultivating on. This will help me to carry out extensive farming that will enable me to raise enough food for both home consumption and commercial basis. Prior to getting this transfer, I had a very small piece of farm land that I used to just keep hiring to just cultivate food for family consumption yet at times it was not enough since my family is growing. Since I was able to get bricks that I plan to use to build a bigger house, I see that my daily life will greatly change. This is because my family and I will have a beautiful specious house and I will not be worried about how my children sleep.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I felt so happy and anxious that I thanked God for his grace.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy five trips of bricks at Ugx 1100000. I then hired farm land at Ugx 500000. I used the balance of my Ugx 100000 to partially pay for a bed.
