Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very excited that morning when I received an sms alert, tell me that I have getting money from GD. However, the entire town was noisy with jubilation. This is the first of it kind in my generation to received free transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life was, getting money from Give Directly was like a dream come true . This was my major prayer to receive such transfer and with that , i can do my personal fish business , sent my children to school and compute with other business women's in my town.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have decided to extend my fish business and do additional business like dry goods selling and sent my children to school, God first in my life and the GD family's second in my life. When i was in this town, sending my children to school was a problem for me, but with the help of Give Directly I can now provide for myself and family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
For more than ten (10) years now, my husband and I have been living in his brother's house because we don't have the capacity now to build our own place. Living in his place sometimes causes embarrassment for us. We are not free to do certain things. Our activities within the house is limited. My husband carve canoe and sells it to enable him to buy food for the family. He has been carving canoes for more than ten years. Doing such a job for living endangers his life because he has to be in the forest throughout. Besides, I also buy fish to sell before earning money to buy food. If my household qualifies for GD unconditional cash transfer program, I intend to use the money to start a business to support my husband in the home. I have a plan to start a business by buying fish in large quantities and take it to Monrovia to sell. My husband and I also have a plan to build our own place to leave his brother's house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six (6) months, there is nothing that brought happiness to me. The last six months brought more pains and sorrows to me than happiness and I don't even like to talk about it. Every time I think about what happened to me before, I feel that there is no need to live anymore. I lost my two (2) children in the last six months something I don't feel fine talking about.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My husband goes in the forest everyday to carve canoe, a job he has been doing for more than ten (10) years. And I have to sell fish before earning money to buy food. Finding an alternative means to alleviate this present condition we are faced is my biggest challenge right now.
