My initial plan was to buy a piece of land but later changed my mind and resolved to spend my transfers to solve the present and more important investment which is educating my daughter. In the next four months, I do not have any other plans apart from supporting my child through her education. I believe once she graduates she would have a job. I will then save the earnings which I usually get from farming and spend it to purchase a piece of land.

In the past four months, I have been saving KES 2000 of my monthly transfers. This will help me pay school fees for my daughter who is in University. As a single parent who has passed through lots of challanges in life, I made this sacrifice to invest in my daughter's education so that she would one day get a decent job. It will also help her to grow and be a responsible adult. I made several mistakes before and I thought it would be wise if I invested in her education to prevent her from going through what I went through.

Presently, I am staying with my elderly parent with my three children. As a single, parent with children, I have been thinking of buying a piece of land where I will build a home for myself and my children. Even after the government has passed laws that male and female child have the right to inherit the land from parents, I am seeing this would not bee good and safe enough for me and my children to remain at my parents home. Since my child is almost completing her studies, I will start saving towards buying a piece of land. I am looking forward to buying a piece of land where I would build a home for myself and my children.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I no longer do much of the casual jobs in the village but rather work on my own farm. My children also are no longer sent home to collect school fees because I pay their fees on time and this has led to the improvement of performance.

I do not have a new goal right now but rather continue saving the money in the merry go round group to help me in paying the school fees for my children.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I joined a merry go group that we started in our village immediately after the first transfer. When it was my turn to receive my savings I used all the money to pay school fees for my children in college and in primary school. I'm so happy now because they are at school studying and their performance has greatly improved compared to the previous years. I used to do casual jobs in the village and the amount of money I get was not enough to meet the basic household needs and pay school fees at the same time. My children were sent home to collect school fees and because I did not have the money and they could stay home for a long time and this was affecting their performance at school. I'm so happy now because I have time to concentrate on my farm knowing that my children are at school.

I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have fully devoted all my time to work on my own farm and stop the casual job. I will also have increased the number of acres for farming and this will lead to high production.

Over the last four months, have been saving a part of the transfers in a merry go round group. I used the money to buy a heifer. wan to be able to have my own livestock because this way, I will have invested the money I get in order to benefit from it for a long time. The money that went towards paying school fees has changed my life in a really big way because it is keeping my dream of educating my children alife.

I plan to build a house. I need a house so that I can move out of my mothers' house. I am a single parent and I feel that I need to move to a home of my own.

The biggest difference in the last four months is in my children's' education. The money I received is used in paying school fees. It has allowed me to keep them in the private school where they attend. I am happy because I can afford the school that gives them a higher quality of education. I am happy because it means that they will have a fruitful academic life. If I had not used the last four months' transfers, I would have had to change their school and they could now be attending a puplic school run by governing, it and this would have doomed my hopes.

I will be having heifer hat I just bought using this year's savings. I will also be having a new home for myself. By this time, I could still be staying with my mother since am the caretaker in her old age but I will be happy to have my own home.

My life is currently different because my burdens are lighter. The transfers make it easier for me as I am able to comfortably buy food and things like soap and clothing for us.

I do not have ant new goal for the coming four months. I am saving funds bit by bit so as to buy a piece of land in the next six months.

I have advanced economically. This is the biggest difference in my daily life. Having joined a merry go round group in our village, I am assured of a sum of funds that will enable me to buy a calf. I consider this a big financial boost. The calf will give us milk in future for sale and consumption.

I expect to buy a small piece of land in the next six months. I currently live with my parents and I feel I need my own space to bring up my children.

My new goal is to save in order to buy land.
