What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on working on the floor of my house and making general repairs. I also paid school fees for my four children in secondary school.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I can provide basic needs for my family with ease and yet the general home environment has improved.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly does well to give transfers to recipients without any restrictions. Giving money instead of tangible things was a perfect approach.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on paying tuition fees for vocational skills training of my two children who had finished senior four. I also paid school fees for my other children and worked on the floor of my house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is enrolling two of my children for vocational/ technical skills training which thing I had not hoped for in the near future. Despite finishing senior four, my children had dropped out of school and there was less hope.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on digging and building a pit latrine because we had no pit latrine where we could go to ease ourselves.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when i received my money i felt really happy and even bought some sugar for my children to take some tea with sugar since we rarely took tea with sugar because we could not afford it.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on renovating my house and also add a shade. Secondly i want to buy beddings for my children because they sleep badly.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is my metal rooftop house from grass thatched because it used to leak.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is loosing my first husband who left me with children. So it has been very hard for me to take care of all their needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning having woken up still alive and so is my family.
