Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Receiving this money was like heaven just open and blessings came down and fall on me. I was so happy to the extent that I started dancing and rejoicing all over the town. Because I have never received such amount of money from anyone before. I am very much happy and grateful to GiveDirectly for the support.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before Givdirectly come to this villages, I been depending on my cassava farming and coal processing to support my family. I am now resting from the hard farming work because, Givedirectly has helped me with money to pay my children school fees and bought enough food for my family. I am planning to build my house and start a new business with the balance money Givedirectly will send me. I am so happy.

I pay my children school fees, and kept the balance money for my house project. I been planning to build a house but didn't have the financial means. I just been working hard to get food and other Household needs for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
" I plan if I am eligible to receive money, to renovate my house. The house can leak, so I want to buy zinc to change the roof. When I change my roof then I will buy my goods and make business if I will still have surplus of the money."
What is the happiest part of your day?
" I don't really know, because something that can make you happy is when you are not suffering. Only today we are happy and even started dancing when you people told us in the meeting that GiveDirectly came to help us with money that has no condition attached to it. So from that time, today I am really happy. "
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" In the Bush we are suffering because it is hard to get money, we have to do hard work before we can get money, as a result we find it difficult to send the children to good school. Only coal burning and cassava farm we can do. This year my big son is not even in school because no money. Because no money, our house is not plastered as you can see at the back, the wall fell from my children room and now they are sleeping with us. so our mean challenge is Money business."
