How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The cash transfers have changed my life alot for instance I am at peace and happy because I am preparing to enroll for an electrical engineering course. I will spend the cash transfers to pay for my tuition. I have spent more than two years at home after I sat for senior four exams. I had no dreams of continuing my education due to lack of money and yet this was something that I had dreamed of in the past. However, GiveDirectly has made my dreams come true. I am very grateful for this opportunity.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well to send the poor and vulnerable people cash transfers that have changed their lives. Most of the people in this community could not afford to construct permanent structures and let alone afford to educate their children. On a personal note, there is nothing that GiveDirectly has not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I am planning to spend all my second cash transfer to enroll and pursue a certificate in electrical engineering course in Bukedea technical institute.
