Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I am debt free after paying off the loan. Previously my plot of land had been attached as collateral to that loan. I am glad that I have reclaimed it and I will be in position to cultivate freely.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I heard the phone buzzing late at night, however I did not bother to read it. Early morning when I read the message, I was extremely happy because I was in debt and needed a lot of money to repay it.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the first cash transfer to pay off a debt worth UGX 1400000 thus reclaiming my plot of land. The remaining part of the cash transfer was spent to purchase a mattress worth UGX 100000 and bed sheets worth UGX 25000. I paid school fees worth UGX 150000.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Recieving this money means I will bring back the land which I had morgaged off the time I had difficulties paying my childrens school fees. The land left is too small to support agricultural farming. We shall be able to cultivate on a large piece of land once we pay the land debt and this will enable us increase our crop yields to support the family especially food for consumption and part of it to be sold so as to acquire other family basic needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is after lunch when my kids are telling me stories and playing games at the compound.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing is that I am not able to pay my childrens school fees on time and its still a very big problem because my income is very low.I engage in subsistence farming majorly for family consumption and therefore, theres less or no food to be sold to raise income for paying my childrens school fees and besides this, other basic family needs consume a lot of money.
