How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
RE: Yes, I had always had a dream of building my own house but i never had the financial strength.
As a fisherman, i do not have my own Cannon nor net and because of that i do not make much.
Every fish i sell i have to share the money with the person that owns the cannon who happens to be my uncle.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
RE: givedirectly did not do anything wrong throughout the program. I am overly grateful to givedirectly for this cash transfer program, it really help some of us and put a huge smile on our face.
We can not repay givedirectly for the help they give us but we hope that God will bless them for us.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
RE: my biggest dream had been to build a house of my own, so with this givedirectly cash transfer am on the path of building that dream house of mine.
For now i have purchased gas for the production of planks for the house and am also using to provide food for the workers as well.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to build a house for myself. Throughout my life I have been living in my father's house. I feel embarrasse all of the time looking at my age and still living under my father's roof. Thank God for GD reaching my village that I am now empowered to think of having a house of my own. I am so happy right now that can afford to build a house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is doing well for us by giving direct cash transfer. This has empowered me enough to think of having a house, which I am grateful for GD reaching my village. Actually, I am not aware of anything done unwell by GD. I just want to extend my true gratitude and thanks to the family of GiveDirectly for improving my life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought zinc, nails and gasoline to saw planks for the construction of my own house. Building a house for myself has been my biggest dream. This most recent transfer has enable me to purchased the needed materials to start the construction of a new house. I feel very happy that my dream of owning a house will soon come to reality.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
As for me no new goals before receiving this second transfer , reason being is that, I already made up my mind to get zinc for the construction of my house. Before getting on this GD program I was praying to God if I'm successful on this GD program I will build my own house.

From the Genesis of the program still now i grade GD as one of the best institutions that give direct unconditional cash transfer to people , while looking at what GD didn't do well as an NGO , I can tell all is well from my end .

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was happy because I had my house project on hand that have over stay because I never had sufficient money to complete. I was planning to use thatch but with this opportunity I have change my mind to use zinc.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have been living under thatch house and now I am about to change it to zinc, moreover living under zinc roof with my family makes me very happy.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I so happy today for the visit of GD at my house. The plans I have for this money is very big and I don't know whether I will finish all. My first plan is to establish a very big business of my own;secondly to built my own dwelling place. You know in our certain if you say you're a man; these are some of the things people grade you by.I am living in my people house surviving on fishing,but the fishing work is very risky and difficult. I catch hard over the sea all night just to make life. So my first plan is making business to stop going over the sea and sit home to be call a big business man.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Every day I go fishing and come back safely is a jiy for ; you know why because I am still alive. Also Give Directly coming to say that if I am qualified they will send me money and I will not pay back is a very happy news. Is just like I am dreaming. This is one of the good news ever in this year.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I can't explain all but only God know what I am passing through. I am suffering as a young man seeing your self over water every night;is just a challenge. And all is just for money so I can make it in life. The present life I am living is not making me happy but I believe by the help of GD I will be bless and my life will be better.
