What did you spend your third transfer on?
The cost of kerosene was high and the world is also moving so fast, so I decided to connect my house to electricity so that I also move together with the world in terms of lighting. I, no longer use kerosene for lighting. The remaining I spent on buying a fridge and a TV set. For the fridge it helps me to preserve food and I do not have to buy food every day. It saves me that money. I also leased a piece of land using some money where I have grown rice.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on chipping in on my father’s Hospital bill (2,000 KES), chipping in on my sister’s secondary school fee while our father was hospitalized (5,000 KES) and also injecting additional capital to my food kiosk business (3,000 KES) .
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I cried tears of relief because I am a widow with small children of my own, yet at that very moment I had major emergencies in that my father was in a private Hospital ICU since there was a serious Public Hospital Doctor’s strike Country-wide, and my sister who is a Secondary School student had just been sent home for fee non-payment. The money was timely and I managed to pay part of my father’s Hospital bill and also part of my sister’s fee and the crises passed for that time.
