What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I have a family of four and all live in a one room house which lacks privacy. I have two boys who are now grownup and need to have their room. Most of the time I change my clothes in the bush after taking a bath. My husband and I do casual jobs making income of approximately $30 per month which caters for food and school fees for the two boys. I lack the capacity to build a spacious house for the family. I will use & $500 to add one room for the boys to live and equip the house with bedding. The family now uses sacks as bedding .I will also use $300 to buy six goats as an investment. I currently do not have any investment and I hope the investment will help me raise school fees for the two boys once they join high school. Thanks to the organization for their program.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My family rarely slaughters chicken for family use. Most of the time we use vegetables during meal time. However , in April my brother visited me and spent two days together. I slaughtered a chicken for the family to feast together with the visitor. It was a very interactive moment that brought happiness in my life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My husband and I do casual jobs making approximately $30 per month which caters for food and school fees. Sometimes it takes a whole month without any job and this has affected my children's education since they miss classes due to accumulated fees balance of $30 now. Lack of reliable sources of income is the challenge I am currently facing in life.
