How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed because i now have all things i wanted such as matresses, enough food for the rest of the year, settled school fees for my daughter and rented land for growing crops. These things would not have been possible had givedirectly not come in this village
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did every thing perfectly because each person was receiving their transfer regardless of political or cultural affiliation and reached out to a bigger number of beneficiaries. This is different from other organisations who target very small number of people as a result it is difficult to see impact of their intervetions. To me there was nothing wrong done by givedirectly
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on 3 matresses at MK65000, MK25000 and MK45000 respectively, 6 bags of maize at MK90000 each, 2 blankets at MK23000 each, paid school fees for my daughter amount to MK10000 and rented a garden at MK40000. I saved part of the transfer.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When i recieved the money i was overwhelmed with joy because i had many problems which i would not solve on my own, but with the assistance all were sorted out
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is my shelter. This house would have collapse this year and i would not build a new one so the transfer has given me hope that my shelter will be improved
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
As you can see my house is very old and i had no hope that i would build another one, so when i recieved the money i started preparing for building a good house buy buying timber, bricks, cement and any time soon the new house will start being built. I used part of the money to buy food, 4 chairs and household equipment and pay school fees for my child
