I have been able to make new goals and achieve them since I started receiving this money. I have been able to buy a piece of land that would have taken many years just to earn that amount. I was also able to buy livestock like goats. I have even managed to dress my family properly by buying them decent clothing. Lastly, I have even been able to lay school fees without any strain.

In my own opinion, I think that GiveDirectly's objective to help people in need is something that they are doing well. This is because it has helped me to achieve my goals like owning a comfortable house and buying some goats which will produce and give me both food and income. I was even able to buy some land which I can do farming which would not have been possible before.

With this recent transfer of money, I was able to buy roofing sheets worth KES.5000 which would continue with the home I am building. I was also able to buy a mattress worth Kes.5000 which has helped to give me a peaceful night after years of sleeping on the floor and having a bad back. My children had also been sent back home due to the school fees balance. I was able to pay for the three children a total of KES.3000.KES. 6000 was added with my mother's contribution to pay for a piece of land that we are buying. The remaining was spent on food and other miscellaneous things for building.

I felt very happy for receiving my transfer since I had never got such a huge amount at once. I was at the home relaxing while chatting with my neighbour who had visited me. The house that I had was very small to accommodate our family of 6 members and all belongings. I had desired to construct a specious one but I lacked the finances to purchase the building materials.
