What does receiving this money mean to you?
My family of five has been sleeping on small and local improvised beds which they are not in any way providing the required comfort. It is always painful sleeping on those beds. Upon receiving this money I plan to buy two 5" by 6" beds with mattresses. They will cost a total of 18,000 KES. I believe my family will be sleeping happily and have the desired comfort. I will also be spending some of the money on school fees for my two children who are in primary school. The rest of the money will be spent on buying food and on medication.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always delighted when my family of five is in good health and the children are attending school without fees arrears. This makes me feel great and motivated alot.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My family of five is struggling in terms of food because I depend only on my spouse who does casual job in the city. Sometimes we go to bed without food and this has affected my children's health as well as being demoralized in attending school every morning. Lack of enough money to access better medical care is also a challenge when one of my family members fell sick.
