What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I completed my main house I had started constructing with my second transfer. I plastered it with sand and cement and fitted it with a steel door and 3 steel windows. I can mention this as a great improvement in my life since I have moved from a leaky house to a leak-free one-the former house was too old to sustain us and we lived in it with a lot of fear-it could as well collapse on us.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am currently living in a better house-a more secure one, more attractive and spacious enough for my household members. I believe that if it were not cash transfers from Give Directly, I wouldn't have been here, the house I live today.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion, what Give Directly does well is giving out unconditional cash transfer-we are able to invest in per our wish to achieve our goals. However, being that some were left out in the program, they never felt happy after that and therefore next time, Give Directly should adopt a second chance listening ear to include this people anywhere else.
