How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I was in dire need of finances to complete my house and moved in with my family. In doing so, I used a huge portion of my recent transfer to purchase additional 2 bundles of zinc and 1 carton of nails to roof my house. Meanwhile, part of my transfer will be used to pay contractors who are currently working on my house project. I feel so relieved having benefited from this program initiated by GiveDirectly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly through this program has given hope to extremely poor people like us. Moreover, GD has been very honest in delivering cash to bonafide receipients. I don't see anything that GiveDirectly has not been doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My most important priority at the moment is to complete my house project. Hence, as soon as I received my transfer, I bought 2 bundles of zinc for $21,000LD. I also used portion of my transfer to purchase 1 carton of mixed nails for roofing purposes. My balance transfer was saved and would be used to pay contractors who are currently working on my house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Well, eventhough I've been thinking on replacing the old thatched roof over my Kitchen to new one because of the numerous leakages; I didn't have one thought of changing the thatch to zinc. This was made possible after I received my transfer from GiveDirectly. With this transfer, I also purchased 2 bags of rice (25kg) for sale and consumption respectively. It is indeed a pleasure considering the fact that I can get my house roofed with zinc. Through GiveDirectly's transfer, I also started a new business by buying and selling rice by cup.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has been doing quite well so far. The method of helping us poor people with money and allowing us to choose what to do with it is exceptional. For me, I had not seen such thing in my entire life. I am privileged to be part of this project. Meanwhile, I see nothing that this organization is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Being that I wanted to renovate my kitchen by changing the entire roof to new one; I immediately purchased two bundles of zinc for 22,000LD as soon as I received my transfer. In addition, I also purchased 2 bags of rice (25kg) for consumption and sale. This transfer has afforded me the opportunity to accomplish some of my biggest dreams for this year. Changing the old tatch over my kitchen to zinc and starting a new business that would create an additional source of income to improve my life, was only made possible through GiveDirectly transfer. I am very much grateful for this opportunity.
