I spent my first transfer on buying a bag of maize 3500 KES for my family's consumption. I added stock on my fish vending business 4150 KES. I also bought clothes for my children 300 KES and paid the debt that I had 2000 KES .
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer , I felt very happy since at that time I didn't have money to even by food for my family to eat and getting money at an expected time was a relieve and a rescuer.I am thankful to GiveDirectly.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship as at now is feeding my family on a daily basis and scarcity of water as you can see the weather is not favourable.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening, when all my family members are back home safe and sound in Gods name.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means my life is going to change for the better. With regards to our family's income, we have planned to buy our own motorcycle since this house construction work that my husband is into is seasonal . This motorcycle will come in handy. Secondly, we do not have a house but just this small hut, I will use part of the money to build a house and part of it to boost my fish business.
