What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on 26 iron sheets that I used to construct a semi-permanent house where we currently live a healthier life. I decided to construct the house since the former one was too tiny to accommodate all my household members-it was only of 6 iron sheets and we were afraid of catching airborne diseases among us such as TB.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I used a total of 30000 KES to construct a new house of 22 iron sheets since my previous house was small and old. I then bought 2 sheep to rear in my home, and used the balance to buy a solar lamp and a sack of dry maize for my family.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest difficulty that I face in my life is that we face harsh economic times and our crops did not do well hence buying food to feed my family is a big problem for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I get a contract in the morning by a client in the village so that I dig a pit latrine or a borehole. This makes me happy as eventually I will be able to buy food for my family once I am paid.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money brings joy to me and my family as we will be able to build a bigger house than the current one and also my wife will be able to start a business of selling cereals like maize and beans.
