In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

My life is now different in that, I have cultivated more food this season than ever. Before, I had no money to rent land for agriculture.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 1000000 of my cash transfer to hire a farm land and UGX 150000 to pay for my children's school fees. I also spent UGX 200000 to buy groundnut seeds and two sacks of cassava worth UGX 100000. I spent UGX 150000 to purchase clothes and shoes for my family. The balance of UGX 100000 will be spent on buying food.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I recall I was awake when phone buzzed at around 12:45Am. I was very excited and happy at that moment when I read the message. This cash transfer was going to clear my school fees burden and other family needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I hired a large piece of land that I am currently ploughing. This farm land will increase my crop production and the surplus will be sold for income. Previously, I only owned one piece of land that could not yield much.
