How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Interestinly I am 26 years old with (4)four living children. My major goal in life is getting all my children in school and also improving my house. I have no additional source of income to accomplish all these. The house we currently live in was build by my late grandfather many years ago and its even falling apart. Therefore, when I received my transfer, I used portion of the money to pay my children tuition. The balance money was used to renovate my house so that my family and I can move in.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
From my own point of view, GiveDirectly is doing very well in River Cess County, by giving us enough money to improve our livelihood. Most of our children are able to attend school and have regular meal through GiveDirectly's transfer. I am so blessed to be part of this project and I see nothing that GD is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have always wanted to improve my house and also register my four children in school for this academic year 2021/2022. Therefore, money received was mostly spend on my children tuition. The remaining transfer was spent on building materials to improve and expand my house. I am so glad to have benefited from this unique opportunity provided me by GiveDirectly.
