How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Had I not received the cash transfer, life would have been difficult and incorrigible. With the cash transfer, life is much better now because the motorcycle that I purchased earns us daily income. We are able to buy good food and basic needs with this income.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly does well to send cash transfers to all households in the community without segregation. These cash transfers have improved the standards of living in the community. To wrap it up, GiveDirectly has only done the best for our community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent all my second transfer of UGX1,630,000 to complete the purchase of a motorcycle.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When we receive this money, we shall build a permanent house for ourselves and the balance will be used to buy some animals.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when all of us in our family are healthy and we have enough food to push us throughout the day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced is lack of adequate land for agriculture. We just hire land which attimes becomes very expensive when the yields are poor.
