How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is much better after my dowry was paid. My marriage is much stable and my parents are very happy. Before, I was not settled and my parents too were not happy. In addition, I acquired land which I plan to cultivate when the rainy season starts. Previously, we used to just rent farm lands for agriculture.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by helping me to acquire land and pay dowry. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer on cultural function (dowry) worth UGX 1,400,000 and clothing/household goods( bed, curtains) worth UGX 200,000.
