How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
As a student, my new goal was to start a business along side my school. I am a self supported person who is struggling to sponsor myself though school. Starting a business will help me continue my education smoothly. This I never thought about until when I received my transfer. This idea came when I received my first transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly is good at checking on us. This has make us to be serious in improving our lives. You people always come to inquiry from us about the usage of the money. That has caused most of us to start school, build houses and even do business. Unlike other organisations that came before and did not follow up on us, you people are really doing well when it comes to checking on us.
Meanwhile I haven't seen anything Givedirectly is weak in doing. You people are at your best.

My most recent tranfer will be spend on paying my school fees and adding up my business. I like to buy more good to increase my business.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was overwhelmed upon receiving my first transfer from Givedirectly. This was my first time to handle such money. I felt that my problems are over.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Givedirectly has provided me the opportunity to accomplish my goal my dream has been to build my own house. and start a business. I couldn't do thi due to lack of money. Upon receiving the transfer, I was able to purchase two bundles of zinc and start my business.

Upon receiving my transfer, I bought two bundles of zinc. I also spent portion of my transfer to start a business.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
" I am a student who is currently in the grade 9 class. I was unable to be enrolled this academic year due to the lack of money. If I am successful to be a beneficiary of this program, the first thing I will do is to pay you school fees, after that is done, I will use the remaining cash to start up a small business to sustain the family and also raise additional cash for my school fees the following academic year."
What is the happiest part of your day?
" My family and I are healthy eventhough there isn't enough, I am happy because I have good health."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"The major challenge I'm faced with right now is finance. I need cash to continue my education. I am currently out of school due to funding and my spouse is not working"
