How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now in that the motorcycle that I bought earns me daily income where as in the past my life was really wanting. I did not have any income generating venture. Had I not received the cash transfer, I would be living a miserable life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well to send the poor people cash transfers. On the otherhand I do not see anything wrong with how GiveDirectly operates.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent all my second transfer of UGX 1,600,000 to purchase a motorcycle.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, now I'm happy that I own a bull which will help me to farm in time.Secondly when my goats multiple (add in number), I can sell and be in position to support my family.

The moment I received my money,I became very happy because there was no way I would have gotten that money.

I have spent my first transfer to purchase 1 bull at 820,000ugx ,labour for paying the person who brought the bull 10,000ugx,rented 2 garden at 200,000ugx,making bricks at 130,000ugx,household goods (mattress) at 110,000ugx and clothes at 100,000,bought 2 goats at 146,000ugx,food (cassava flour at 20,000ugx and saved 164,000ugx

Receiving this money means I will be in position to rent farming land to do more modernized farming so as to support my family

The happiest part of my day is in the afternoons when I am close to my wife and family members or when I have bought what to eat

The biggest hardship I face is lacking of enough money to sustain my family in terms of food and medication
