How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal now is to pay people to complete my house. I was able to get all of my children in a private school. My last goal is to invest in agriculture and expand my wife's business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I don't even know how to praise GiveDirectly. Through this program, I can send my children to school. Everything has changed completely my life is stressed free. Am a happy man because I now have a zinc house to live in.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
From my recent transfer, I was able to buy food for my workers. I also used a portion of the money to buy the remaining two bundles of zinc. The balance money will be used to pay for the workmanship.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When I got my first and second transfers, I bought building materials. I live in a very old grass thatch house. My new goal for my third transfer is to pay my children school fees and keep some to pay the person who will construct my building. My children education is the future of my family. I want to extend my gratitude to GiveDirectly for my transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is doing well by sending me transfer with no third party involve. The staff are patience and respectful. GiveDirectly is the first NGO that I have seen that does not accept bribery. In my opinion, GiveDirectly is doing extremely well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent portion of my transfer on my children's education. Before GiveDirectly came, paying my children school fees was a serious challenge for me. I couldn't get enough money from my farm work to pay my children fees. This transfer has taken away my worry. I appreciate GiveDirectly for this transfer, because I am positively feeling the impacts.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been struggling to have a good living place, but it hasn't been easy. The little money I can earn from selling plantain and other things from my farm was not sufficient to enable me build my own house. When I got my first transfer, I bought zinc. I also bought gas to saw wood for my building construction. With my second transfer, my goal is to educate my children. I have eight children. I used the money to pay four of my children school fees. I appreciate GiveDirectly for my transfers that are enabling me to do things beyond my previous plans.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly gives unconditional cash transfer. GiveDirectly fulfils her promise. The staff are kind and respectful. What GiveDirectly needs to improve on is to bring a cashout event that will enable us cash our money smoothly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my second transfer to paid my children school fees. Their school fees payment has been my worried .I have four children, when I got my transfer, I paid four of them school fees. This will enable them stay in school. I look forward to the future where all my money and efforts will be paid by them when they have succeeded. I appreciate GiveDirectly for her tremendous financial support.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was eating when I heard people in the town that GiveDirectly has sent their transfer. I ran to the location where we can get network in our community. I checked my phone, and I saw my transfer. I called my wife and we started celebrating. I have been living in poverty. I plan crops on the farm to feed my family. I am living in a house that is in a deplorable condition. I bought zinc to build new house. In a short possible time, I will have a conducive place to live. I appreciate GiveDirectly for my transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life now is that am happy. I am not worry any more about doing hard labour work to earn money to build my house. I have hope of receiving my remaining three transfer to keep on improving my life and fulfilling my dreams. I am excited everyday. I feel good because my house will soon be built. I can't stop appreciating GiveDirectly for such great help.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I get my money, the house that I have is very old now, I want to build another one. Right now, school is about to open but I don't have money to send my children to school, so when I get the money I will send them to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Mainly, the news that I heard, is about this program, because I heard that GiveDirectly can change your life and make you do good things for yourself and family. So I have been feeling happy since I heard the news up to today.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The problem that I'm facing is, this my house, I want to change it quick. My children education is very important to me, but I don't have money to send them to school.
