How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different comparing with who I was in the past when I worked as a casual laborer in my neighbor's farm. I am now my own boss and carrying out my duties without supervision.
My household's lifestyle has also improved because we can take dietary meals which was not the case in the recent past.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion giving unconditional and non refundable cash transfer makes Give Directly exceptional since most lives have been transformed through this great organization.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on purchasing a water pipe for an irrigation pump I bought with my first transfer.Initially I was foreman in a neighbor's farm and I had developed the desire of starting my own farm but lacked the resources. When I received my transfers I knew this was the time to start my water melon project. I also bought farm tools and other equipment to start me off. To improve my farming I bought pesticides and fungicides. I expect to have a bumper harvest.
