How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal was to change the roof of my house. Years round, I have been living under thatch house. Everytime it rains the roof used to leak too much until the wall of the house almost fall. I am poor and I didn't had money to change the roof to zinc. So, when I received my last transfer, I bought three bundles of zinc to improve my house roof.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well for me. Just by giving me plenty money is something so well that this organisation has done. I do not even know how to appreciate GiveDirectly for this helped. When it comes to things done unwell by GD, I am not aware of any thing of such.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my transfer I felt so happy. At first I didn't know that I had money in my phone. I was in my kitchen preparing fufu to eat when I heard my neighbours shouting with excitement. I checked my phone. I was so excited when I saw my money. This kind of money that I have never seen my entire life. I was overwhelmed when I saw it.My grandson has been staying with me and I couldn't afford to pay his tuition. I'm so grateful for this opportunity. Hopefully, after receiving rest of the payments our lives Will get better.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Things have been difficult for me. I have been stressed. Feeling really bad that I couldnt afford basic things my grandson needs. Our house has spoiled and I couldn't afford to renovate or even build a new one. The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly is that, I am no longer stressed. I am so excited that I can now afford to provide enough food for my family. I feel relief that my grandson will go to school and become that future leader I aspire him to be.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am a single old woman. I have no one to assist me. I make fufu everyday to eat because I can't afford to buy a bag of rice. My grandson has been staying with me. I couldn't afford his tuition. I was so excited when I received my tranfer. I'm so grateful to God through GiveDirectly for this opportunity. I used some of my money to buy zinc. I want to build a new house. I always been wishing to see my grandson becoming a future leader. I will use some of my money to pay his tuition. If there's still a little amount, I will use it to buy a bag of rice and some clothes for my grandson and myself. Through this cash program our lives will improve.

What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy because GiveDirectly came in my town to help me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge I'm facing now is money business. I'm old and still making farm, it's not easy for me on the farm because my children are living far from me and I have to brush the farm everytime; so when I get this money I will pay people to be brushing my farm.
