How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I can now sleep well in permanent house not like before when I used to use a mat for sleeping in leaking grass thatched hurt. I would not have managed to construct my permanent structure and sleep well if I never received my transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has helped us to reduce on poverty rates. Life is not like before when our standards of living were very low. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer on Purchasing building materials (timber, roof, door and windows) at UGX 902,000, Livestock at UGX 400,000, sanitation at UGX 150,000 and household goods (bed sheets) at UGX 180,000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I biggest difference in my daily life is that, am now in the process of constructing an iron roofed house that I have been longing for.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, I was over whelmed by joy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for purchasing bricks at 1,125,000 ugx, sand at 100,000 ugx, 3 bags of cement, a mattress at 110,000 ugx and water drum at 50,000 ugx. I have not yet spent 229,000 ugx but am planning to spend on buying iron sheets.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means building iron roofed house for my family and buying cows .
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon and evening when I afford food.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is lack of oxen for ploughing .In addition the house I reside in links a lot and this posses a risk to my life.
