Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was an awesome moment. I have never had such amount of money in my entire life. I thanked God for the opportunity and I went to withdraw the money same day.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have seen a change in my life from the day I received money from GD. I now live a happy life than before. I managed to buy Mattress which I couldn't have managed to buy on my own. The other thing I am proud of are iron sheets. Iron sheets are expensive. I don't think that I could have managed to buy in my life time. I am very happy for this.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am so grateful for the opportunity of receiving money from GD. With the money, I have managed to buy Mattress which amounted to MK 75 000. I also bought 20 iron sheets so that I can build a house next year. I have been desiring to lay livestocks and I am happy that I managed to buy 2 goats. I also bought blankets for the entire family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means that I will be able to build a house for my family. The house we live in is small, made of unbaked bricks and it's thatched with grass. So I will buy baked bricks and other building materials to use in building the house. I also don't have enough beddings and a matress. As such I will use the money to buy new beddings and a matress. On top of that, I will buy food because I lost my harvest to floods. I will not forget to buy goats to raise. I will sell them in future when they multiply.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest whenever I find piece works. When I do , it is a guarantee that I will make money to buy food for my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is not having enough food to eat with my family. I have a farm near the lake but I don't harvest enough maize because floods occur so often.
