How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different since I now own a cow which is producing milk which gives my children good health every time they consume it. Had it not for the money l received , we wouldn't have started the business that I mentioned earlier on. So it's been all blessings through this amazing organization.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly helped me setting foundation for my life and that of the family . There is nothing that I can substantively say it did wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent Kes 25000 on a cow. We also spent Kes 25000 on maize grinding machine which is currently an equipment for business. The transfers gave us an idea of coming up with the business which will keep us running even long after GiveDirectly have left. The machine has managed to even employ my spouse who would go house to house doing the job, and earning a loving for the family. The cow which was also also spent bought calved and supplying the family with milk and some are sold for family consumption. The rest of the amount was spent in household items and clothing for the members of the family, who by then were wearing torn and old clothes.
