What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on buying steel windows and doors, cement and sand which I used to improve the status of my house. I also saved the rest to help in buying school requirements for my son who was joining secondary school.

Give Directly helps in improving the livelihood of the less fortunate in the community and giving cash unconditionally is the best.
I don't see anything that Give Directly does not do well.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on purchase and installation of solar panel( 11,000 KES) for the purpose of charging and for lighting, and in fact it has saved me the high cost of kerosene. I also bought a bed and a mattress (12,000 KES) because we had old and bad ones. In addition, I bought a bag of dry corn (4,000 KES) to feed my family since our last harvest was poor. The balance I spent on bags of cement in readiness for plastering our house

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I faced last year was lack of enough food for my family. I get food for my family whenever I harvest produce from my farm but last year there was a severe drought and at times we would sleep on empty stomachs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is around midday whenever I am having lunch with my family. I always feel very happy whenever I am eating.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will stop feeling sad whenever I watch my kids sleeping in a tiny room which is very uncomfortable for them. This is because I will use the transfers to buy building materials which I will use to enlarge my house by adding two large bedrooms for them to sleep in.
