How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I hope that with the focus on agriculture (growing of crops) I will be able to increase the harvest in order to satisfy my family with foods and sell the remaining and got money to satisfy other family needs in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
All activities of Givedirectly are good but giving unconditional cash is better than others because it gives room to us for using money according to our priorities
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my transfer on Buying land and improving my building.
This was done because in our community (region) our main economic activity is growing crops for selling and feeding our Family. And also I have renewed my old house in order to improve household security.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
The first instalment we plan to start a new business, we want to start selling banana juice that will help us generate more income, we also plan to clean our house and renovate where we left off and buy beds , mattress and clothes for our children.
In the second instalment, we plan to buy livestocks, we want to buy 10 chickens for $25 , a pig for $50 and 2 goats for $90, and we will pay for our children's school fees and other school materials and the balance we plan to save it and increase our shares in our saving groups.
Receiving this money means having a happy life , it shows us that we have people who care about our situation, and this money will help us come out of poverty and reach our development.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Our eldest son Felicien have made it to top 5 in his class and this have brought joy to our family and we have recently received solar panels and now we don't live in the dark and our children are able to study in the evening after school, seeing them come back from school and read their books give us happiness and makes us proud because their performance have started to become better than before.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We wanted to start a small business and raise livestocks but we failed to get access to enough capital, we went into saving groups but our expectations didn't match the reality and up to now we are not able to start that business.
We currently don't have enough land because we don't have money to buy a land that can produce enough for our family , we have to rent from others and we are not able to buy as much as possible inorganic fertiliser that can help us generate extra harvest.
