What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on building decent spacious three roomed house which accommodates my family members in my own homestead, now I feel more dependent since I no longer stay in my parent's homestead in a traditional house ( simba) which had a leaky grassed thatched roofing.

I spent my first transfer on buying a mattress 4,700 KES. I bought two plastic chairs for my wife's saloon business and added stock too.I also bought a bag of maize.

The moment I received the money,I felt very happy since in that point of time I had no money hence I could not even afford to provide my family's basic needs, this money was a brake through to me and I am very appreciative to GiveDirectly.

The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is unsustainable means of income, making me to go without meals at times.

Being a casual fisherman, when I get good catch at night and make good sales, I feel much happy.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money brings much happiness and courage in my life to face the future. I would be able to start a beauty and Salon shop for my wife who is trained in hair and beauty. It would also mean constructing a new house that is spacious and durable that would accommodate my household.
