What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
What I plan to do for the transfer is buying a plot of land at USD 1081 in a safer area where flash floods and land slides don't threaten to take people's lives. I also think of purchasing a dairy cow at USD 405. I will also build a small house worthy USD 270 and the balance 116 will be used to pay school fees for two children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I planted maize outside Shiteka village near the forest which enabled me get food for my family some that reduced stress of thinking how to get food for my family members and this really made me happy for some time.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The problem I face currently is the nature of the area we stay in. It is full of flash floods and landslides whereby everyday we go to bed we are not sure of waking up alive. We are unable to cultivate as we used to because the land slides destroyed our land and crops that we had planted leave with hunger. When people from Office of the Prime Minister came to transfer people to Bulambuli, they were selective and left some of us out suffering. I also school fees for my children simply because the landslide swept away the banana plantation where I used to get bananas to sell and raise money for school fees and also meet some basic needs.
