Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have been planning to hold my late husband's memorial service in March this year since it is will be a year since he passed on. I have been saving some of my tranfers to help in the planning of the service but I do not have enough money for the budget yet, so I wish to keep saving the transfers to help with this plan. After the service is done, I will then shift my focus onto purchasing construction materials for the renovation of my house which is not in a very good condition.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The weather has not been so favourable over the past farming seasons which is why we did not harvest much from our farms. This has caused a rise in food prices especially maize that we mostly use as our staple food in this region. Without maize, most families usually face starvation, but I have been lucky enough to be receiving the transfers which have enabled me to purchase the maize even when it is too expensive for others to afford. I have never faced hunger all thanks to the transfers which without, I know life would be tough especially after the death of my husband who was the family's breadwinner.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My house is old and the iron sheets are rusty and leak in some areas. The walls have become very hectic to maintain through smearing because it needs to be done frequently which I can't keep up with due to my age. For this reason, I need to renovate the house entirely which is why I need to save to purchase the materials. I hope that in the next six months, I will have started saving and purchasing the required materials because this way,I will know whether I can do it or not.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life has improved in the last four months because I have been able to meet the family's needs without much struggle. I didn't have a reliable source of income previously and the little that I earned could barely meet the family's needs. I'm grateful to GD because through the transfers I have been able to budget well and meet the family's needs without much struggle.

I didn't have a reliable source of income previously and the little that I earned couldn't at times afford a whole days meal. At times we were forced to go hungry without food. I'm glad through the GD transfers I have been able to comfortably afford a whole day's balanced diet for the family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
For the next six months, I have plans of organizing a memorial service for my late husband. My expectation is to have put all the resources that will be required on that day in place so that I won't borrow money from people for the occasion.
