Currently, I have had an easy time providing for my family. I work normally on my farm only that I do not spend much time on the farms as I used to beforehand. I have the transfers to help in doing other projects and for the daily provision of our needs. My children can get money for their upkeep, food to eat and even clothes to put on their backs even if I do not manage to earn anything a day.

I have a new goal of buying building materials that I plan to use in building a new house as an old house that is small and can hardly accommodate my growing family.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the past four months is the fact that I was able to pay school fees for my child who is in college. I am able to raise fees for my child and also provide for his upkeep financially. Lately, I do not have to work extra hard to generate income to pay the school fees as I used to do before.

I expect to save and start up a business to help in the generation of income for the family. I believe by then the transfers will have reached the end and so I need something to help in raising income continuously. I depend mostly on farming to generate income for us and with the kind of responsibilities I have, it is always not enough. When I set up the business, it will help in easing the burden of working twice as much to raise income for our upkeep.

The difference in my life in the last four months is that my children have never been sent home for school fees arrears again. I used to struggle to raise money to pay school fees for my children since we all depended on my income from casual work. Because we did have other needs, I would fail to pay school fees on time. With GD transfers, I have been able to pay school fees arrears for my children bit by bit. I am glad to say I have cleared the balance of their fees.

My new goal in the next four months is to start a business. I am getting old agewise and I feel very soon I will not have the energy to go for casual work. Therefore I need an income-generating activity which does not requires a lot of energy. Business is the best option for me.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that every month I receive money. This is unlike my life. I have always depended on income from casual work and farming which has been very inconsistent and very small. I have always struggled to raise money to meet my needs because of my small income. With GD transfers, I have been receiving money on a monthly basis which has brought a lot of change in my life. I no longer struggle to meet my needs because I can easily get a loan from friends and village groups. This has helped me meet my needs in time without many struggles.

In the next six months, I expect my life to change in that I would be saving the transfers to start the business. This is my goal for the next months which I am determined to achieve because it will change my financial life forever. I will not struggle anymore and help me meet my family needs well and in time.

Currently, my life is different than it was four months ago because I always have some additional source of income every month. This has reduced my financial burden. Prior to being enrolled in the program, we only had to depend on our wages from casual labor which was very unpredictable. Nowadays, I can easily plan with my monthly transfers.

In the next four months, my additional goal is to continue to support my son who is still continuing with his education. I shall continue to save money that will help him as he advances with his studies. I believe that when he succeeds in his education, he will live a better life in the future. Moreover, when he succeeds to get a good job, he will also support me and the rest of my family.

The biggest difference in my life in the last four months is receiving the monthly income. From the transfers, I have been able to buy drugs for my medication. Currently, I live better than before because I can always use transfers to buy drugs whenever I am feeling unwell. In the past, I could stay without buying drugs leading to deterioration in my health condition.

In the next six months, I expect to have built some savings which will help my son as he advances with his study. He is a bright boy who has restored more hope in me than the rest of his siblings. Through education, he will gain more knowledge and experts that will make him a successful man in the future.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because l am now a proud parent because l have manage to educate my son upto university level.

My additional goal is to dig and build pit latrine, since we have been using bush to help ourselves and health wise it is not write.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that l can proudly said that l have manage to pay for my son university fee until he has now completed, since sure when he get employed he will be in a position to provide for our family.

I expect to have started saving to build a spacious comfortable house since l am staying in a very small house.

Apart from my earlier plans, I do not have any new goal.

I am able to meet my demands without begging from my family and friends. I was able to pay school fees in time and my children have never been sent home for the same.

I would want to pay school fees in time so that my children cannot be sent home for the same.

Before Give Directly, I would go for a whole month or two without receiving money but since I started receiving this transfer, I am able to meet my own demands without begging.
