How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different in that, my quality of life has greatly improved. This is because I can now afford whatever I need in life unlike in the past when I lacked money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give directly has done well in giving out unconditional cash transfers that have developed the poor communities. According to me, there is nothing bad that Give directly has done.

I spent my second transfer on household goods, a cow and as a start up capital for my business.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that my family status has changed and I now have big plans.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer I felt so happy in my heart.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying a mattress and a bed at 160, 000ugx, a suit case of 89,000ugx, clothes at 30,000ugx, food at 15,000ugx. I spent 6,000ugx on transport, I have kept the balance and I intend to use for buying a cow.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to buy land and pay dowry to my in laws. This transfers will enable me buy land for farming and also buy animals that i can give to my in-laws as dowry.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is evening. This is a time i rest after over struggling to make ends meet during day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face is lack of land for farming. We are many boys so the available ancestral land is not enough amongest children.
