Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was at here at home when i recieved the money around 9 am . I was very very happy to have been part of the programme and have a chance to recieve the money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Right now my family and i are able to have all meals of the day. We have food and this is the biggest change that i have seen.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When i recieved the money my money, i went to the boma and bought 22 iron sheets as well as nails and wires for the roofing of the house that i am planning on building. I also bought 10 bags of maize for my household as we did not harvest enough maize to last us the year. I have saved some of the money so that i can pay the builder when the time to build my house comes.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am very happy and thankful that I have been considered to be in this program. When I receive the transfers I plan on buying fertlizers so that I can harvest more maize next year.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest when I have enough food for my family. I am also happy when l have worked and earned some money because I know that my children will have food for that day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is poverty since I do not have enough food for my family. Sometimes I harvest very little due to lack of fertilizers.
