How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
These financial support have enabled me construct an iron roofed house that I am currently staying in, which I wouldn't have built had I not received these transfers. Furthermore, I have acquired a bigger mattress and new clothes. Before receiving these transfers I was sleeping in grass thatched hut that could leak whenever it rained and also renovating it, was very costly given the scarcity of grass in our community.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that I used to build an iron roofed house. GiveDirectly only did well on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase a door, window, mattress, clothes, utensils, in the cultural event (funeral), paid construction labour, school fees for my child and weeding crops.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has improved because I'm building my permanent house. I hope to complete it when I get my last transfer. I'm sure of sleeping in permanent house which I never thought of. Currently, I'm still sleeping in leaking thatched house with my children. When it rains heavily, I have to stay a wake in order to collect the dripping water so that it doesn't wet the mattress and bedding.
