How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I now have pride and self esteem since there's money to acquire whatever is lacking at home if my wife requests. Before, it was difficult for me to exercise my duties as a man in the home without money.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well giving money directly to enable build iron roofed houses and acquire items we couldn't afford before, like household items such as mattress, bed, clothes. There's nothing it hasn't done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I haven't spent second transfer yet, but I intend top it up and buy taxi motorcycle that will help me get income to support my family.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I can now meet my family daily needs without a lot of struggle like it used to be in the past.

The moment I received the money, I felt very happy because I was very broke.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent only Ugx 200000 of my first transfer on household goods. But I'm planning to add the balance with the second transfer for buying a motorbike.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When i receive this money, i will buy cows of which i will use some for milk and Agriculture and others i will take to my inlaws because i have not officially married my spouse.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is at night when am going to bed because its the time i relax and rest.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is when i got an accident and i was admitted in the hospital and alot of money was spent leaving me with almost with no savings.
