Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my first cash transfer I felt so happy and thankful..The money found me at a time when I didn't have anything for instance food, so I'm forever grateful for the program.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now have better beddings and clothes that are sufficient for everyone in my household. Also, I have managed to procure a new bicycle which will help in improving transportation issues since we live in a far away area and getting to town or market is so hard.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my first cash transfer to procure a few bags of maize as I didn't have enough food to secure my entire household. I have also used part of the money to purchase kitchen utensils such as plates, basins and pots..I then bought a few clothes for me and my children. Lastly, I managed to procure a bicycle which will help in easing transportation problems.
