How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have maize that will feed my family for the next year. We now have a business that we were able to start thanks to the coming in of GiveDirectly money .
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am happy that I was given this chance with GiveDirectly to benefit without paying any sort of fee. There is nothing that GiveDirectly did not do well in my opinion.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I saved half of the money with my village bank so that I can use it in the future so fix the roof of my house after I am done with the harvest season. I purchased a bag of fertilizer to keep and use on the next planting season. I spent the remaining money on a mattress as well as on clothes for my whole family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was a jovial moment. I was so happy for having being considered in this program.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Previously, I used to sleep in a grass thatched house but now I have managed to roof it with iron sheets. I am sleeping in a good house now. This is amazing and it is also worth noting that I have saved some money and food for my family, something that we never afforded before getting this transfer from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
First and foremost i bought 5 bags of maize for my family as we had no food at the time we were receiving this transfer. Part of the cash was used to purchase fertilizer, school uniforms for my children as well as iron sheets to roof my house which I had built many some time back but was grass thatched.
